CASA Technical Development Plan

CASA TECHNICAL PLAN

To improve the quality and performance of CASA's players, coaches, teams and Clubs. By following Canada Soccer's and Alberta Soccer's philosophies of LTPD (SEE HERE) and creating a player centered approach, where safety, fun and development of the players is foremost. With this plan it is our hope the we increase player participation in our Clubs, as well as retain current players.

GOALS

1. Continue to grow the Tier 4-Grassroots Program, offering higher levels of play when possible and promote player and coach pathways.

2. Player and Program Development

3. Coach Development

PRINCIPLES

SOCCER FOR LIFE - Provide safe environments where members enjoy their experience , have fun and develop a love and passion for the game.

PLAYER CENTERED

Watch the individual players grow and develop their skill set, both mentally and physically in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Player development must be the goal over results

COACH EDUCATION

Provide a safe environment where volunteers, parents, coaches and association members have the ability and encouragement to learn, develop, gain certification and the experience needed to learn teach and love the game. This will enhance our coaches as individuals, but more importantly it will impact the children and their development in a positive and effective way. We will conduct this through formal and informal training avenues.

TECHINCAL DEPARTMENT VALUES

First and foremost and all CASA TD staff will promote CASA and it's programming. Staff are to be professional, open, transparent and honest in all interactions, on and off the field. Create safe, fun and inclusive learning environments
